Dr. Colleen Lacombe-Senecal is excited to have returned to the North Country! Having grown up in Peru, NY, she graduated from Seton Catholic in Plattsburgh before going on to the University of Rochester for her undergraduate education. After receiving her BA in clinical and social sciences in psychology, she went on to the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where she completed both her DDS and specialty training in pediatric dentistry.
During dental school, Dr. Colleen focused her efforts on improving education and access to dental care for those in need. She served as president of two organizations, Buffalo Outreach and Community Assistance (BOCA) and Pediatric Education & Dental Outreach (PEDO) Club, where she led other dental students in implementing dental programs throughout Western New York and beyond.
She participated in Remote Area Medical (RAM) mission trips to the Appalachian region of Tennessee and annual Give Kids a Smile Day events at the dental school.
Her most memorable project was the initiation of a dental education and fluoride varnish program in nine schools in an Amish community in Western New York.
Dr. Colleen married her high school sweetheart, Adam, in 2012. They welcomed a son, William, in 2014 and a daughter, Caroline, in 2016. Life with two little ones keeps them very busy! They enjoy spending time outdoors and are thrilled to be so close to the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain.
Dr. Colleen is an avid cook and enjoys spending time in the kitchen.
Dr. Colleen is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is actively pursuing board certification in the specialty.
