So what brought a Midwesterner to Plattsburgh?
"I've always wanted to "wow" people in providing outstanding customer service. During my High School years I worked for a local funeral home with aspirations of becoming a mortician. This was during the Viet Nam war era and my draft number was 49. You either went to college or to Viet Nam. A month before leaving for mortuary school, I realized that it was difficult to hide my emotions as I shed as many tears at funerals as the next of kin. Remembering the famous word from President Kennedy's inaugural speech, "My fellow Americans ask not what the country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country"; I enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Law Enforcement Specialist. I was able to serve my country and fellow service members. I traveled all over the world. While stationed at Chanute AFB, ILI was offered to move to Little Rock, AR. or Plattsburgh, NY. I chose wisely and came to Plattsburgh in 1993."
