William P. Caldon, DMD

William P. Caldon, DMD, is a co-owner of High Peaks Dental. He graduated from Covington Latin High School at the age of 15. After earning his AB degree in biology, he attended the University of Louisville, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

Upon graduation, Dr. Caldon joined the United States Air Force, serving with distinction for 20 years before retiring as a full colonel in 1996. Following his military service, he joined Dr. Michael O’Connor’s dental practice.

Dr. Caldon’s military career included assignments in Michigan, Southern Italy, San Antonio, Texas, England, Plattsburgh, and New Jersey. He passed the rigorous Federal Services Board of General Dentistry examination, earning recognition as a specialist in general dentistry. Additionally, he served a 3-year term as an Air Force examiner for the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry.

During his time in the Air Force, Dr. Caldon was an instructor and officer in charge of a 1-year general dentistry residency program. He also commanded dental clinics in England, Plattsburgh, and New Jersey.

Dr. Caldon holds certification from the American Board of General Dentistry and is a member of the International College of Dentists and the American Dental Association. He is also a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Caldon completes more than 100 hours of continuing education annually and is a certified member of the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation (DOCS).

In addition to his clinical achievements, Dr. Caldon has coauthored several Amazon bestsellers, including Out Front – Business Strategies from Frontline Entrepreneurs, Breaking Through (with Nido Qubein, president of High Point University), and Escaping the Wall Street Casino. He is proud to contribute to the national conversation on workplace image and has spent nearly 50 years transforming smiles.

Dr. Caldon’s accolades include the prestigious Quilly Award from the Academy of Best-Selling Authors and an Expy Award in 2014. He has been featured in USA Today as an expert in dentistry.

Dr. Caldon enjoys fishing, traveling, bicycling, and reading in his free time. He and his wife of nearly 45 years, Margaret, a retired pediatric nurse, have four wonderful children and eight precocious grandchildren.
